Mercury is an independent company. This page discloses the third parties we integrate with and any commercial relationships that could influence our recommendations. Transparency is part of the product.
1. Rights administration
- Performing rights organisations: Mercury connects to IPRS (India), PPL, PRS for Music, GEMA, SACEM, ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, and SOCAN for royalty reconciliation.
- Mechanical royalties: The MLC in the United States and equivalent bodies elsewhere.
- Neighbouring rights: SoundExchange, PPL Neighbouring Rights, and regional equivalents.
2. Distribution partners
Content delivered via Mercury reaches 150+ DSPs and streaming stores. Featured platforms:
- Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer, Pandora, SoundCloud, Audiomack.
- India-first: JioSaavn, Wynk, Gaana, Hungama.
- Global: Boomplay (Africa), Anghami (MENA), NetEase & QQ Music (China), LINE Music (Japan).
3. Payments
Checkout, subscription billing, and payout rails are powered by Stripe and Razorpay. Mercury does not hold client funds — money flows directly from buyer to your connected account.
4. Infrastructure
- Hosting: Cloudflare Workers for edge compute, region-scoped object storage for files.
- Database: managed Postgres with row-level security.
- Email: transactional email routed through Resend / Postmark.
- Analytics: privacy-preserving product analytics; no advertising trackers.
5. Compensation & disclosures
- Mercury does not receive kickbacks from any DSP, PRO, or publisher based on which platforms you choose.
- We do not take a percentage of your streaming income, sync deals, beat sales, or merch revenue. Ever.
- Partner logos on our marketing pages are informational and do not imply endorsement of Mercury by those partners.
6. Independence
Mercury is independently owned and operated in India. We are not a subsidiary of any label, DSP, or publishing conglomerate. We have taken no equity from a major music-industry rightsholder.

If you believe we have failed to disclose a material relationship, email legal@mercury.fm. We review every report.
